Yayasan Musik Sastra Indonesia (Indonesian Classical Music Foundation) is honoured to host the visit of Spain's prominent guitarist MIGUEL TRAPAGA for concerts and masterclasses in Indonesia (Jakarta & Bandung).
In his youth, after graduated with Summa Cum Laude from the Royal Conservatory of Music di Madrid, Trapaga won many international guitar competitions such as the Arturo Sanzano Competition, 1988; Concurso Permanente d...e Juventudes Musicales de España , 1992; XVIth Andrés Segovia International Guitar Competition, Palma de Mallorca, 1993; Third Great Lakes Competition, Oberlin, Ohio (USA), 1994 and XII International Solo Guitar Competition, Guitar Foundation of America, Quebec (Canada), 1994. Now Trapaga concertize around the world and will visit Jakarta and Bandung for 3 intense days in the middle of his Asian Tour which covers Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and also Australia & New Zealand.
Miguel Trapaga has inspired and collaborated with the world's prominent composers such as Leo Brouwer and David del Puerto, and it was Trapaga who inspired Ananda Sukarlan to write his solo guitar piece "The 5 lovers of Drupadi". This work has now been performed all over the world, and Trapaga who commissioned and premiered it will perform it in his concerts in Jakarta and Bandung. Those concerts will take place at :
