1. The prizewinner for the Best Interpretation of music by Indonesian composer at the Ananda Sukarlan Award (Senior Category), 20-25 July 2010 will be invited to be introduced and to perform at the Concert for the Independence Day organized by BIMASENA on the 6th of August 2010. It is a tradition that the President and/or Vice President and several Cabinet Ministers of the Republic of Indonesia are invited to attend this annual event. The second half of this event will feature the new opera by Ananda Sukarlan, commissioned by BIMASENA. In a few days we will provide more info and details at our blog http://asaward.blogspot.com .

2. Flutist Wendela van Swol & pianist Emilio J. Garcia will tour Ananda's celebrated work for flute & piano "Rescuing Ariadne" in Spain, including a concert during the Spanish Flutists Convention in Madrid. The schedule of their performances in April are :

Thursday 8th : Concert Hall of the Conservatorio "Pep Ventura", Alcalá la Real (Jaén)

Saturday 10th at 18.00, during the Flute Convention of the Asociacion de Flautistas de España (Spanish Flutists Association) : Royal Conservatory of Music, Madrid (Atocha). This convention is an exciting event for flutists lasting for 3 days all day long starting from the 9th of April, and great flutists all over the world will be here either performing and/or giving masterclasses, such as Susan Milan, Trevor Wye, Kate Steinbeck, Claudi Arimany etc. Many concerts, seminars and lectures during these 3 intense days. Tuesday 27th : Concert Hall of Conservatorio de Musica "Rafael Orozco" in Córdoba

3. Ananda will perform his works for duo with other instruments at the Palencia Conservatory of Music. Those pieces were commissioned by Fundacion Musica Abierta for the disAbled musicians, although now those works have been regularly programmed by musicians in regular concerts. Ananda will work and perform with the following professors from that conservatory : José Luis Gutiérrez (guitar), Carlos Gallifa (violín), Susana Ferrero (mezzosoprano), David Largo (organ) y Salvador Alverola (bassoon). The concert will take place at the Conservatory of Palencia on Monday, 29th of March at 7.30 p.m . Free for students and professors, and those who are interested to attend please contact the administrator.
